HYDERABAD: The central Youm-e-Ashura procession was held peacefully in Dighano Bozdar, Hyderabad, under the supervision of Maulana Manzoor Khaskheli, Syed Roshan Ali Shah, and Shahid Laghari.

The procession commenced from the Central Misri Shah Imambargah and passed through its traditional routes, including Shahi Bazaar, before reaching Judge Sahib’s Bungalow and later proceeding to the Main Stop.

At the Main Stop, Muhammad Ali Nahiyon and his brothers arranged Niaz (free meals) for mourners participating in the procession.

Following the distribution of Niaz, mourners offered Maghrib prayers and observed traditional mourning rituals, including Sina Zani and Zanjeer Zani, to commemorate the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions.

As in previous years, District Member Rais Ahsan Khan Bozdar established a free medical camp, where healthcare services and first aid were provided to participants throughout the procession.

Police made comprehensive security arrangements to ensure the peaceful conduct of the event. The security operation was supervised by Saifullah Jamali, In-charge of the Machhi Hotel Police Post, along with other law enforcement personnel deployed along the procession route.

The Ashura procession concluded with Sham-e-Ghareeban observances and a collective concluding prayer, after which additional Niaz was distributed among the mourners.

The event concluded peacefully under strict security, with religious organizers, volunteers, and law enforcement authorities working together to facilitate the annual Ashura commemorations.
