The federal government has issued a series of notifications announcing key appointments, transfers, deputations and retirements of senior government officers across various ministries and departments.
According to notifications issued by the Establishment Division, Climate Change Division Secretary Ayesha Humaira Chaudhry has been granted voluntary premature retirement and appointed as a member of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) for a period of three years.
The Prime Minister approved the retirement application of the Grade-22 Secretariat Group officer, effective from July 1, 2026. A separate notification stated that she would assume her new responsibilities as an FPSC member on the same date. The Establishment Division said her appointment follows her voluntary retirement from government service.
In another development, the federal government cancelled the earlier notification regarding the appointment of retired Grade-22 officer Aizaz Aslam Dar as an FPSC member. According to the Establishment Division, the notification was declared null and void from the outset and has been withdrawn.
The Prime Minister has also accepted the resignation of Ikram-ul-Haq Qureshi, an MP-1 scale officer serving as Member (Legal) in the Ministry of Information Technology, with effect from April 30, 2026. Qureshi resigned to assume the position of Chairman of the Social Media Complaints Council under the Ministry of Interior.
Despite his resignation from the IT Ministry post, Qureshi has been assigned additional charge of Member (Legal), Ministry of IT, for a period of three months or until a permanent appointment is made, whichever comes first.
Meanwhile, the government has extended the additional charge of Secretary, Board of Investment (BoI), held by Jamil Ahmed Qureshi for another three months. The extension takes effect from June 6, 2026. Qureshi is currently serving as Additional Secretary (In-Charge) of the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) Division and will continue to oversee the Board of Investment in addition to his existing responsibilities.
The Establishment Division also issued a notification regarding the retirement of Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Industries and Production, Qazi Imranuddin, with effect from June 11, 2026.
In another personnel matter, Zahid Pervez of the Pakistan Administrative Service has been regularized in Grade-19 and directed to continue serving under the Punjab government.
Several transfer and deputation orders were also announced. Noshirwan Khan, Director Administration at the Workers Welfare Board, Government of Balochistan, has been transferred and posted to the Ministry of Human Rights on a three-year deputation.
Similarly, Tabinda Jalot, a senior research officer with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, has been deputed as Senior Scientific Officer to the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) for three years.
In addition, Section Officer Asad Hussain Malik has been transferred from the Establishment Division to the Religious Affairs Division.
The Establishment Division said official notifications have been issued for all appointments, retirements, transfers and deputation orders, marking a significant administrative reshuffle within the federal bureaucracy.
