Khairpur, June 20, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Khairpur Altaf Ahmed Chachar and SSP Khairpur Captain (R) Ameer Saud Magsi conducted visits to several areas including Piryalo, Khuhra, and Kumb to review security and administrative arrangements ahead of Muharram-ul-Haram.

During the inspection, the officials assessed arrangements along mourning procession routes and at central Imambargahs, focusing on overall security preparedness and public facilitation measures. They reviewed the deployment of police personnel, functioning of CCTV surveillance systems, installation of walk-through gates, and the establishment of security checkpoints along key routes.

The visiting officers were briefed by police and district administration officials regarding the comprehensive security plan developed for Muharram. The briefing included details on procession monitoring mechanisms, traffic management strategies, and emergency response readiness to deal with any unforeseen situation during religious gatherings.

Officials also highlighted coordination efforts among various departments to ensure smooth conduct of Majalis and processions, particularly in sensitive and high-traffic areas. Special attention was given to ensuring that security protocols are effectively implemented without causing inconvenience to mourners.

On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner and SSP Khairpur also held meetings with organizers of Imambargahs and local community representatives. Discussions focused on security requirements, logistical support, and measures to ensure public convenience during religious events.

Deputy Commissioner Altaf Ahmed Chachar stated that all relevant departments have been instructed to remain fully alert and maintain close coordination throughout Muharram. He emphasized that the district administration is committed to providing a peaceful and secure environment for mourners.

SSP Khairpur Captain (R) Ameer Saud Magsi directed police officers and personnel to perform their duties with professionalism, vigilance, and dedication. He stressed the importance of strict security arrangements and continuous monitoring to ensure the safety of participants in processions and gatherings.

He further stated that law enforcement personnel must remain highly alert during all Muharram events and respond promptly to any situation that may arise. The SSP reiterated that maintaining public safety and preventing any disruption of peace remain top priorities of the police force.

The Deputy Commissioner added that the district administration, in collaboration with police and other concerned departments, is implementing a comprehensive strategy to maintain law and order across Khairpur. He said the objective is to promote harmony and ensure the peaceful observance of Muharram-ul-Haram throughout the district.

Officials accompanying the visit included Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Hakeem Dharijo, DIB In-charge Ali Gul Mallah, and other senior officers.

Authorities expressed confidence that coordinated efforts between the district administration, police, and community stakeholders would ensure the successful and peaceful conduct of all Muharram-related activities across Khairpur district.
