The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a resolution aimed at limiting President Donald Trump’s authority regarding potential military action against Iran, according to American media reports.
The resolution, introduced by Democrats, was approved with 215 votes in favor and 208 against, with four Republican lawmakers also supporting it.
Under the resolution, any military action against Iran would require prior approval from Congress.
The move reflects growing concern in Congress over escalating tensions with Iran, concerns that are reportedly also emerging within Trump’s own Republican Party.
