Balochistan Ends School Uniform Requirement at Primary Level

The government of Balochistan has abolished the requirement of school uniforms at the primary level.

According to Geo News, a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti was held to discuss comprehensive reforms aimed at improving education and increasing the literacy rate in the province.

During the meeting, approval was given to remove the uniform requirement for primary school students. It was also decided to introduce a double-shift system in 900 schools to help increase literacy rates.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said that the “taat culture” (students sitting on mats) will be eliminated in all functional public schools, and every school will be provided with desks.
