Hyderabad: Police in Hyderabad have intensified their crackdown against drug dealers and social crimes, arresting three suspects involved in drug supply and illegal alcohol sales in separate operations conducted by A Section Police and SITE Police.
The operations were carried out on the instructions of DIG Hyderabad Range Tariq Razaq Khan Dharejo and SSP Hyderabad Shahzaib Chachar.
According to police officials, SITE Police Station, under the supervision of SHO Inspector Tahir Mughal along with his team, acted on confidential information and arrested two drug suppliers.
During the operation, the first suspect identified as Shehzad alias Kala Bablu Rajput was arrested, and 1.281 kilograms of hashish was recovered from his possession.
In another arrest, the second suspect identified as Rafiq Yousafzai Pathan was taken into custody. Police recovered 2.375 kilograms of hashish from him.
Police officials stated that further investigation is underway to obtain more details about the arrested suspects and to trace their previous criminal records.
Cases have been registered against both suspects under the Narcotics Control Act at SITE Police Station, with case numbers 61/2026 and 62/2026 under Section 9(1) 3(C) CNS.
In a separate operation, A Section Police Station, under SHO Inspector Agha Asadullah Pathan and his team, conducted a raid based on intelligence regarding illegal alcohol sales at a bakery in Unit No. 7 Latifabad.
During the raid, police arrested the suspect identified as Fawad Ghani Siddiqui, who was allegedly involved in selling liquor illegally.
Police recovered eight bottles of alcohol from the suspect’s possession at the scene.
A case has been registered against the suspect under the relevant provisions of the Prohibition Enforcement Ordinance (PEHO), case number 269/2026 under Sections 3/4.
Police have stated that further operations against drug dealers and illegal activities will continue across the district.
A spokesperson for Hyderabad Police confirmed that strict action is being taken against all individuals involved in narcotics and social crimes.
