Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has launched a special deep cleaning initiative on Friday across its aircraft fleet to further improve cabin cleanliness and maintenance standards.
Under the initiative, specialised cabin cleaning procedures are being inspected and implemented at PIA stations in Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.
PIA CEO Adrian Hamilton Manns noted that aircraft cleanliness was essential to maintaining the airline’s brand standards and ensuring that its planes remained in excellent condition.
He described the initiative as the beginning of a sustained effort to maintain aircraft at the highest possible standards of cleanliness, quality and service.
The airline also distributed shields and certificates among employees who played a key role in the cleaning drive.
Staff members demonstrating outstanding performance were additionally awarded cash prizes.
PIA said it would continue taking steps to improve cleanliness, service quality and cabin maintenance across its fleet.
