An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Wednesday issued arrest warrants for five suspects, including former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister Sohail Afridi, in the May 9 attack and arson case of Radio Pakistan.

ATC Judge Wali Muhammad Khan heard the case during which the public prosecutor submitted police challan to the court. Advocate Ali Zaman appeared on behalf of the accused.

The defence counsel sought an adjournment, stating that more time was required to prepare for the case. However, the prosecution maintained that the challan had been submitted and arrest warrants had been issued.

The court ordered the arrest of all five suspects and directed authorities to produce them before the court at the next hearing.
