Fines have been increased for violations of different traffic rules on Lahore’s Ring Road.
Drivers driving without licences will now be fined Rs5,000, and not Rs500.
Similarly, drivers found overtaking from the wrong side will be fined Rs5,000, while those driving cars exceeding 2,000 cc will be fined Rs10,000.
Likewise, drivers driving vehicles in the wrong lane will be fined Rs2,000, while a fine of Rs5,000 will be imposed for one-way entry.
Smoke-emitting vehicles will be fined Rs4,000 while commercial vehicles will be fined Rs5,000.
Fine for overloading has been increased from Rs2,000 to Rs7,000, while that for wrong parking from Rs1,000 to Rs2,000.
A fine of Rs10,000 will be slapped on underage drivers, while people driving cars with tinted glasses or without number plates will be fined Rs5,000.
A fine of Rs5,000 will be imposed on a motorcyclist in case he rides it on the Ring Road.
Now those crossing the Ring Road on foot will be fined Rs1,000, and not Rs200, and in case a man brings his cattle onto the road, a fine of Rs5,000 will be slapped on him.
Drivers of cars of up to 2,000 cc, found involved in rash driving, will be fined Rs5,000, while those driving vehicles of more than 2,000 cc will be fined Rs10,000.
Similarly, fine has been increased from Rs5,00 to Rs3,000 on those using cellphone while driving or not wearing a seatbelt.
