Balochistan Home Minister Mir Ziaullah Langu said on Wednesday that the statements given by JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman and other opposition leaders against the state institutions were unfortunate.
Addressing a press conference in Quetta, he said that the KP government was not cooperating with the institutions for the elimination of terrorism.
Speaking on the occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Interior Shahid Rind said that following the imposition of governor’s rule in KP, a comparison was being drawn between situations in KP and Balochistan unnecessarily. “The Balochistan government has taken several steps against terrorism,” he said, adding that the National Action Plan was being implemented.
Hamza Shafqaat said that similarly, Afghan refugees living in the province illegally were repatriated. “As many as 18 new departments have been set up to deal with the issue of terrorism in Balochistan,” he said, and added, “The federal and provincial government departments are together working to eliminate terrorism.”
