Sukkur (Bureau Report): Sukkur Police carried out a large-scale operation against drug dealers in the Site Area Sub-Division and arrested 19 suspects, including two women. The operation was conducted on the special instructions of SSP Sukkur, Azhar Khan, in the jurisdiction of Site Area Police Station, Koso Village, and surrounding areas. Police personnel from all police stations of the Site Area Sub-Division and City Division took part in the raid.
According to the police spokesperson, a large quantity of drugs and other items were recovered during the search operation. The seized items included 155 packets of ice (crystal meth) weighing approximately 200 grams, more than 30 liters of locally brewed liquor, equipment used for preparing liquor, one motorcycle, and cash amounting to Rs. 22,700.
The arrested suspects include listed alleged drug dealers Ali Gohar Khoso, Ms. Naseema Khoso, Ms. Zakia Khoso, and several others. During the operation, police also demolished illegal liquor-producing setups.
The police spokesperson stated that cases have been registered against the arrested suspects under the Narcotics Control Act on behalf of the state, and further investigation is underway.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Sukkur Azhar Khan said that the crackdown against drug dealers would be intensified to protect the younger generation from the menace of drugs, and no leniency would be shown to such elements. He also appreciated the performance of the police teams involved in the successful operation and praised the officers for their efforts.
