RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s top military leadership has congratulated the nation and the armed forces on the completion of one year since the country’s victory in the “Battle of Truth,” describing the occasion as a symbol of national unity, professional excellence, courage, and strategic capability.
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu, and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf extended their congratulations to the people of Pakistan and the armed forces on the anniversary of the conflict fought in May 2025.
The military’s media wing stated that the anniversary was being observed with a spirit of national solidarity and reflected the professionalism, bravery, and unity demonstrated during the confrontation. The statement emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the nation and remain committed to serving the country with pride and dedication.
According to the ISPR, the “Battle of Truth” has become an important milestone in Pakistan’s national history. The military leadership said the conflict represented the country’s national determination, military expertise, and strategic maturity.
“The success of the Battle of Truth strengthened national confidence and highlighted Pakistan as a responsible and stable regional power,” the statement said.
The ISPR noted that the events of May 2025 demonstrated Pakistan’s effective defensive capabilities and showcased the country’s readiness to respond decisively to external threats. The statement added that Pakistan’s response during the conflict exposed what it described as enemy conspiracies, false-flag narratives, and propaganda campaigns, which ultimately led to international embarrassment for the adversary.
Military officials stated that despite facing conventional, hybrid, and proxy warfare challenges, including terrorism-related threats, Pakistan’s armed forces displayed a high level of operational capability across multiple domains.
According to the ISPR, the armed forces demonstrated effective coordination and operational excellence in land, air, naval, cyber, and information warfare domains during the conflict. The statement described the military response as evidence of Pakistan’s growing ability to conduct modern multi-domain operations.
The military’s media wing further stated that after the “Battle of Truth,” Pakistan had continued to strengthen its defense capabilities and reinforce what it called a “full-spectrum deterrence” strategy aimed at safeguarding national sovereignty and regional stability.
The statement also stressed that lasting peace in South Asia could only be achieved through meaningful dialogue and adherence to international law and principles of justice. The military leadership reiterated Pakistan’s stated position that peace and stability in the region require diplomacy, responsible engagement, and respect for sovereign rights.
The ISPR said that with the support of the nation, Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully prepared to confront all internal and external challenges. It added that the success achieved during the conflict reflected the preparedness, commitment, and professionalism of the military services.
“The victory in the Battle of Truth decisively strengthened public trust in the armed forces,” the statement added.
Military analysts believe the anniversary messages are intended to reinforce national morale and highlight the armed forces’ role in ensuring the country’s security during a period marked by regional tensions and evolving security challenges.
Observers also note that the reference to hybrid warfare, cyber operations, and information warfare reflects the changing nature of modern conflicts, where military confrontations increasingly extend beyond traditional battlefields.
The armed forces’ leadership reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to promoting peace and stability in the region while maintaining a firm stance on defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The ISPR concluded by stating that Pakistan’s armed forces would continue to fulfill their responsibilities with the support of the people and remain steadfast in protecting the country from all forms of threats and aggression.
