NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: Relatives of a woman who was allegedly murdered several days ago in the jurisdiction of Tagar Police Station, Naushahro Feroze, staged a protest demanding the immediate arrest of those nominated in the murder case.
The protest was led by the deceased woman’s son, Abdullah, along with her brothers Miral and Isa Mangnejo. The demonstrators gathered to draw attention to what they described as the police’s failure to arrest any of the suspects despite the registration of a murder case.
Speaking to the media during the demonstration, the family members said that the deceased, identified as Khair Bano Mangnejo, was killed several days ago within the limits of Tagar Police Station.
According to the family, a First Information Report (FIR) has been registered in connection with the murder against suspects identified as Anwar, Manwar and Qurban Mangnejo, along with two unidentified individuals.
The protesters alleged that despite the registration of the case, police had not arrested a single nominated or unidentified suspect so far. They expressed serious concern over the lack of progress in the investigation and demanded immediate action against those allegedly responsible for the woman’s death.
The family members questioned the reasons behind the continued delay in arrests and called on senior police officials to take notice of the matter.
During their interaction with journalists, the protesters alleged that the police might be deliberately avoiding the arrest of the suspects. They further claimed that the suspects could be receiving protection because of alleged financial dealings with certain police officials.
These allegations were made by the protesters and have not been independently established. The family urged the relevant authorities to investigate the matter and ensure that the murder case is dealt with fairly and transparently.
The protesters said that they wanted justice for Khair Bano Mangnejo and demanded that all individuals nominated in the FIR be arrested without further delay. They also called for the unidentified suspects mentioned in the case to be traced and taken into custody after due investigation.
