Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Reza Amiri Moghadam, has commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir for their role in efforts aimed at ending a recent conflict, describing their contributions as “commendable” and significant for regional peace.

The remarks came during the visit of Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to Pakistan, which the ambassador said was conducted with exemplary coordination, security, and planning. In a statement shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Ambassador Moghadam expressed gratitude to the Government of Pakistan, the armed forces, and the general public for their support and cooperation throughout the visit.

Highlighting Pakistan’s diplomatic and security efforts, the envoy noted that the leadership of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir played a constructive role in de-escalation and peace-building initiatives. He emphasized that such efforts are vital in maintaining stability in a region often marked by complex geopolitical tensions.

“The role played by Pakistan’s leadership in bringing about an end to the conflict is highly appreciable,” the ambassador stated, underscoring the importance of dialogue and cooperation in resolving disputes. He also praised the professionalism and preparedness of Pakistani institutions that facilitated the Iranian delegation’s visit.

According to the statement, the visit of the Iranian foreign minister was conducted under comprehensive security arrangements, reflecting the efficiency of Pakistan’s law enforcement and administrative bodies. The ambassador specifically acknowledged the contributions of the Pakistan Army, security forces, police, and various government departments for ensuring a smooth and secure visit.

Ambassador Moghadam also extended special thanks to the people of Islamabad for their hospitality, patience, and cooperation. He noted that public support plays a crucial role in the success of high-level diplomatic engagements and helps strengthen people-to-people ties between neighboring countries.

Reaffirming the close relationship between Iran and Pakistan, the ambassador described Pakistan as a “brotherly, friendly, and neighboring country.” He reiterated Iran’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations across multiple المجالات, including trade, security, and regional cooperation.

The visit of Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi is seen as part of ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two countries, aimed at enhancing cooperation and addressing shared challenges. Both nations have historically maintained close ties, rooted in cultural, religious, and economic connections.

Analysts believe that Pakistan’s active diplomatic role in regional matters reflects its intent to position itself as a mediator and a stabilizing force. By engaging constructively with neighboring countries and supporting peace initiatives, Pakistan seeks to promote a more secure and cooperative regional environment.

The ambassador’s remarks also highlight the growing importance of coordinated diplomatic efforts in addressing conflicts. In an era where regional instability can have far-reaching consequences, collaborative approaches are increasingly seen as essential for sustainable peace.

Furthermore, the acknowledgment of Pakistan’s institutional performance during the visit points to improvements in the country’s ability to host and manage high-level international engagements. Efficient planning, security, and coordination are critical components of successful diplomacy, and such recognition enhances Pakistan’s image on the global stage.

In conclusion, the Iranian ambassador’s praise for Pakistan’s leadership and institutions underscores the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and the importance of joint efforts in promoting peace. As both countries continue to engage diplomatically, there is optimism that their partnership will contribute to greater stability and cooperation in the region.
