Karachi: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced a major relief package for the business community.
FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial and his team met senior officials of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) at its headquarters on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the FBR announced a decision to pay Rs83 billion in refunds and Rs43 billion in rebates to businesses.
FBR Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langrial also assured the business community that the distinction between industrial and commercial importers would be addressed and eliminated.
The decision is expected to provide financial relief to businesses and improve liquidity by releasing pending refunds and rebates.
