SUKKUR (Danish Rajput): The 13th meeting of the Sukkur Municipal Corporation was held at a local hotel, attended by UC chairmen, the town chairman and other elected representatives.
During the meeting, UC Chairman Abdul Sami Pirzada presented a resolution opposing the division of Sindh, which was unanimously approved by the participants.
Pirzada said Sindh was a province that played a historic role in the creation of Pakistan, noting that the Sindh Assembly was the first legislature in the subcontinent to pass a resolution in favour of the establishment of Pakistan.
He said no compromise could be made on the unity and integrity of Sindh.
The approval of the resolution was met with enthusiasm, with participants expressing their support for the unity of Sindh.
Sukkur Municipal Corporation is reportedly the only municipal corporation in Sindh to have unanimously passed a resolution opposing the division of the province.
