HYDERABAD (Mahboob Hussain Bozdar): A conference on “Class Consciousness and Modern Intellectual Communication in the Poetry of Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai” was held at GC University.
Professor Dr. Moazzam Ali Khan said it was essential to understand Shah Latif’s thought in the light of modern research and urged students to study Bhittai with critical awareness.
Professor Dr. Fatah Muhammad Mari said understanding Shah Latif’s message was particularly important for today’s Generation Z, as his message remained as relevant today as it was in his own era.
Writer Taj Joyo said Bhittai was a pioneer of intellectual awakening in Sindh and that his thought continued to provide guidance to society.
Dr. Shazia Patafi said Shah Latif considered himself accountable to society through his poetry and represented people from every section of society.
Dr. Phulo Sandal Menghwar said Bhittai taught the powerful to sit alongside the weak while giving the weak the courage to stand alongside the powerful.
