ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid tribute to the officers and personnel of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Air Force Day, praising their courage, professionalism and exceptional combat capabilities.
In his message, the prime minister said the PAF had demonstrated exemplary coordination with other branches of the armed forces during the conflict in May 2025. He said the force displayed extraordinary combat skills and courage during Marka-e-Haq and defeated the enemy through effective planning and multi-dimensional operational capabilities.
Air Force Day is observed on September 7 every year to commemorate the aerial battles fought during the 1965 war.
Prime Minister Shehbaz said the PAF had established its professional superiority through decades of aerial combat and had a proud history of sacrifice, bravery and professional excellence.
He said the PAF had always responded to the nation’s call with exceptional courage. Recalling the events of September 1965, he said the force had shown remarkable determination in defending Pakistan’s airspace.
The prime minister paid tribute to the PAF martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defence of the motherland, saying honoring their sacrifices was a matter of pride for the nation.
He expressed confidence that the Pakistan Air Force would remain fully prepared to meet every challenge and wished the force continued success and progress.
