KANB: A laborer’s motorcycle was allegedly stolen by unidentified thieves from outside his home, just a few steps away from Kanb Police Station. Despite the victim reporting the incident to police and having a non-cognizable report (NC) registered, the motorcycle has not been recovered even after three days.

According to details, laborer Rameez Solangi had parked his motorcycle outside his house, located within a short distance of Kanb Police Station. Unidentified thieves allegedly took advantage of the situation, stole the motorcycle and fled the scene.

Following the incident, Rameez approached Kanb Police Station and submitted an NC report, hoping that police would promptly trace the stolen vehicle and apprehend those responsible. However, the victim claims that three days have passed and no effective action has been taken to recover his motorcycle or arrest the alleged thieves.

The incident has raised concerns among local residents, particularly because the theft reportedly occurred only a few steps away from the police station. Residents have questioned how thieves managed to steal a motorcycle from such a short distance from the police station and escape without being detected.

Expressing frustration over the alleged delay in police action, Rameez Solangi reached the Kanb City Press Club and staged a protest against the theft and what he described as police negligence.

Speaking to journalists, Rameez said that he was a daily-wage laborer and that the motorcycle was not merely a personal vehicle for him but an important source of his livelihood. He said he depended on the motorcycle for his daily work and transportation, making its theft a serious financial setback for him and his family.

He said the motorcycle had been parked outside his house when unidentified thieves allegedly stole it. After discovering the theft, he immediately approached the police station and informed officials about the incident. An NC was subsequently registered, but, according to him, the police had yet to take effective measures to locate the stolen motorcycle.

Rameez further alleged that despite the passage of three days, police had not made any significant progress in tracing the vehicle or identifying the suspects. He appealed to senior police officials to take notice of the matter and direct the concerned officers to intensify efforts to recover his motorcycle.

The victim demanded that the stolen motorcycle be recovered immediately and that the persons involved in the theft be identified and arrested. He also urged the police authorities to take legal action against the suspects in accordance with the law.

The incident has caused concern among residents of the area, who have called for increased patrolling and surveillance around residential neighborhoods and near the police station to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Residents have also urged the police to investigate whether CCTV footage from nearby streets, shops or other locations could help identify the alleged thieves and determine the route they used to escape.

For a laborer like Rameez, the loss of the motorcycle represents more than the theft of a vehicle, as it directly affects his ability to earn a living. He has therefore appealed to the authorities to treat the matter as a priority and ensure the recovery of the motorcycle at the earliest.

The victim reiterated his demand that senior police officers intervene personally, ensure a transparent investigation and hold the alleged culprits accountable. He expressed hope that immediate action would be taken and that his motorcycle would be recovered soon.

Meanwhile, questions remain over the apparent ease with which the motorcycle was allegedly stolen so close to Kanb Police Station. Local people are awaiting further action from the police and hoping that the stolen vehicle will be traced and returned to its rightful owner.
