SUKKUR : The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has ordered an inquiry against Union Committee No. 11, Kumhar Mohalla, New Pind Sukkur, Councillor Manthar Memon, Asghar Abbasi, Muhammad Yousuf Pathan, Riyaz Hussain alias Raju and others.
The inquiry has been ordered by the Prime Minister’s Secretariat and the Cyber Crime Director in Islamabad.
According to sources, Union Committee No. 11 Chairman and senior journalist Abdul Sami Pirzada had filed an application a few days ago through his legal adviser, alleging that the named individuals were defaming him through social media, causing damage to his reputation and public standing.
In light of the allegations contained in the application, the relevant authorities have ordered an inquiry into the matter. Abdul Sami Pirzada has also been directed to record his statement against the individuals named in the complaint.
Meanwhile, the complainant maintains that the councillor and others have allegedly been harassing him and his family members for approximately four months and are allegedly attempting to obtain unlawful benefits through such actions.
The allegations are subject to investigation by the relevant authorities.
