Gold prices in Pakistan have recorded a significant increase, reflecting a strong upward trend in the international market. According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola has risen by Rs. 15,300, pushing it beyond Rs. 494,000 nationwide.
Similarly, the rate for 10 grams of gold increased by Rs. 13,117, reaching Rs. 423,578. This sharp rise comes in tandem with global market movements, where gold prices climbed by $153 per ounce, bringing the international rate to $4,713 per ounce.
The surge is being attributed to heightened economic uncertainty and global market volatility, which typically drive investors toward gold as a safe-haven asset.
