Instagram is testing an exciting new feature that could change how users interact with Stories. According to recent leaks, users may soon be able to view Stories without their names appearing in the viewer list—allowing for completely anonymous viewing.
This feature is part of a new subscription service called Instagram Plus, currently being tested in limited markets like the Philippines and Mexico. Meta has confirmed the development of this service, which will include several exclusive features not available in the free version of the app.
The standout addition is the “Stories Preview” feature, enabling users to watch Stories discreetly. In addition, subscribers may get the ability to post Stories that remain visible for up to 48 hours, instead of the standard 24-hour limit.
The testing phase suggests that Meta is exploring new ways to monetize the platform while offering enhanced privacy and extended functionality to premium users.
