Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has concluded his visit to Kyrgyzstan and departed for Pakistan.
Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov personally drove Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to the airport and saw him off.
According to an official statement, the Kyrgyz president’s presence at the airport reflected the country’s warm hospitality and strong relations with Pakistan. It said Japarov’s gesture added a new dimension to the brotherly ties between the two countries.
Speaking at the airport, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan enjoy good relations. He said his meetings in Kyrgyzstan were positive and that both sides agreed to increase bilateral trade.
The prime minister said Pakistan had proposed increasing trade with Kyrgyzstan from the current level of around $16 million. He added that the two countries had signed an agreement aimed at increasing bilateral trade to $200 million within two years.
