A Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) rescue team successfully brought the fire under control, which broke out in the Pakistan Customs House in Quetta, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

The Pakistan Customs House is located at Ziarat Cross. Soon after receiving the report, PDMA’s rescue and firefighting teams immediately rushed to the spot and started an operation to bring the fire under control.

The timely measures adopted by PDMA rescue teams helped prevent the fire from spreading and averted a major disaster.

Rescue teams deployed at the site are currently carrying out cooling and water-spraying operations to eliminate residual heat and prevent any risk of the fire reigniting.

PDMA rescue teams are continuously monitoring the scene, and the cooling process will continue until they are fully satisfied, ensuring complete safety in the area and effectively eliminating the risk of the fire flaring up again.

Earlier on May 11, 2026, a fire broke out at a customs warehouse in the Lak Pass area of Mastung district, triggering a massive blaze after a gas bowser parked inside the compound exploded.  At least 31 people were injured in the incident.
