Sukkur Police Encounter

One suspected robber arrested in injured condition; three accomplices escape

SUKKUR: Sukkur Police engaged in an exchange of fire with suspected robbers during routine patrolling near Pir Sultan Graveyard, within the jurisdiction of Pano Aqil Police Station.

According to police, officers encountered a group of suspects who were allegedly present in the area with criminal intent. During the exchange of fire, one suspect was injured and arrested, while his three accomplices managed to escape.

The arrested injured suspect was identified as Sahil Samejo.

Police said the suspect was wanted in connection with several serious criminal cases, including alleged snatching, theft, robbery and police encounters.

TT pistol along with ammunition was recovered from his possession.

The injured suspect was shifted to a relevant hospital for medical treatment. Meanwhile, a search operation is continuing in the surrounding area to locate and arrest the three suspects who escaped from the scene.

Criminal Record of Sahil Samejo

According to Sukkur Police, the arrested suspect has been named in multiple cases registered at different police stations:

  1. FIR No. 124/26 — Sections 324, 353, 399, 402 PPC, Police Station Pano Aqil.
  2. FIR No. 35/26 — Sections 324, 353 PPC, Police Station Sangi.
  3. FIR No. 124/26 — Sections 324, 353 PPC, Police Station Sangi.
  4. FIR No. 120/26 — Sections 324, 353 PPC, Police Station Sangi.
  5. FIR No. 33/26 — Sections 392, 34 PPC, Police Station Baiji Sharif.
  6. FIR No. 192/26 — Sections 324, 353, 399, 401 PPC, Police Station Pano Aqil.
  7. FIR No. 193/26 — Section 24, Sindh Arms Act, Police Station Pano Aqil.

Police said additional information regarding Sahil Samejo’s criminal record is being collected from other police stations and districts.

Search Operation Underway

Following the encounter, police teams have launched a search operation in the surrounding areas to trace the three suspects who reportedly fled the scene.

Officials said efforts are continuing to identify and arrest the remaining suspects and determine whether they are involved in other criminal activities.

SSP Sukkur Commends Police Team

SSP Sukkur Ahmed Chaudhry PSP, QPM, praised the SHO Pano Aqil and his team for their action and announced that the police personnel involved would be given appreciation certificates in recognition of their performance.

Sukkur Police said operations against criminal elements would continue in order to improve public safety and maintain law and order across the district.
