SANGI FHARHO: The Awami Tehreek held a public awareness rally in Sangi Fharho as part of its campaign against what it described as threats to Sindh’s resources and interests.

The rally started from the Jhudo-Tando Bago Road and culminated in a sit-in at the city’s main intersection. Party leaders and workers distributed awareness pamphlets among shopkeepers, vendors and residents, urging them to spread the campaign’s message in their villages and homes.

Central Coordination Secretary Lal Jarwar, Badin District President Mehran Dars and other leaders participated in the campaign.

Addressing the gathering, the speakers opposed what they described as attempts to divide Sindh, control the Indus River and construct new canals and dams, including the Jalalpur Canal project.

The leaders alleged that foreign powers were seeking greater influence in the region and accused political and state institutions of compromising Sindh’s resources.

They said the people of Sindh would continue to protect their land and resources through peaceful democratic struggle and called for greater public awareness and unity.
