SUKKUR: On the special directions of Sukkur Electric Power Supply Company (SEPCO) Chief Engineer Ejaz Ahmed Channa, a large-scale operation against electricity theft and outstanding bills was carried out across Sukkur.
The operation was supervised by Assistant Chief Sukkur Abdul Haq Sial and XEN Sukkur Khalil Ahmed Chandio, with SDO Bandar Road Asra Ahmed Bachkani and other SEPCO officials participating.
Teams conducted raids in areas including Maliri Road, Adam Shah Colony and the park opposite Benazir Park. Hundreds of illegal electricity connections were disconnected, while fines were imposed on consumers involved in power theft.
SEPCO teams also recovered millions of rupees in outstanding dues during the operation.
Officials warned defaulters to clear their bills immediately, otherwise permanent disconnection and legal action could follow.
SEPCO said the campaign against electricity theft and for recovery of outstanding payments would continue without interruption. The company also urged citizens to pay their bills on time and report illegal connections to the authorities.
