KARACHI: The Korangi No. 5 Flyover was formally inaugurated at a ceremony attended by Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah and Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab.

The event was also attended by Korangi Town Chairman Muhammad Naeem Sheikh, PPP leaders, elected representatives, municipal officials and a large number of local residents.

Speakers said the flyover is an important step toward reducing traffic congestion in Korangi and surrounding areas. The project is expected to improve traffic flow, reduce travel time and make daily commuting easier for residents.

Mayor Murtaza Wahab said improving Karachi’s infrastructure and providing better transport facilities remain key priorities of the local government.

Nasir Hussain Shah said the Sindh government is focusing on roads, flyovers, underpasses, parks and other urban development projects across Karachi.

Korangi Town Chairman Muhammad Naeem Sheikh described the flyover as an important milestone for the area and said efforts would continue to improve roads, cleanliness, parks and other civic facilities.
