Saleh Pat (Reporter: Mir Usama Shambani): The Hindu community in Saleh Pat celebrated the 40th-day religious ceremony of Jhulelal with great devotion and enthusiasm. On the occasion, all markets in the city remained closed.
A large procession was taken out from the Panchayat Hall under the leadership of Jhulelal Seva Mandali, Ashok Kumar, Milki Mal Makheja, Parmanand Bajaj, Kailash Bajaj, Bhagwan Das, Ghansham Das, Naveen Kumar and others.
Children, youth, women and elderly people participated in large numbers. Accompanied by drums and religious chants, the procession passed through various city roads before reaching Nara Canal.
At the canal, hundreds of devotees performed religious rituals and offered prayers for the safety, peace and prosperity of Sindh.
Hundreds of members of the Hindu community from Sukkur, Rohri, Aror, Sangrar, Kandhra and surrounding areas also attended the religious gathering.
