At least 27 people were killed and 42 others injured in a Russian attack on a warehouse in Ukraine’s Bucha district overnight.
The governor of the Kyiv region confirmed the death toll, saying the attack on the warehouse in Bucha also injured 42 people. Around 380 people were evacuated to safer locations following the attack.
According to foreign media reports, the Russian strike triggered a major fire at the warehouse. A large number of firefighters were deployed to the site to bring the blaze under control.
Emergency teams continued rescue and response operations after the attack as authorities assessed the extent of the damage.
The incident comes amid continuing Russian attacks across Ukraine, with civilian infrastructure remaining vulnerable to missile and drone strikes.
Local authorities have been working to evacuate residents from affected areas and provide emergency assistance to those injured or displaced.
The latest attack has once again raised concerns over the safety of civilians and critical infrastructure as the conflict between Russia and Ukraine continues.
