The United States Embassy in Pakistan has canceled all visa and American Citizen Services (ACS) appointments scheduled for today, according to an official statement.
The announcement applies to the U.S. diplomatic missions in Islamabad as well as the consulates in Karachi and Lahore. The embassy stated that all visa and consular services in these cities will remain suspended for the day.
In its statement, the Embassy of the United States, Islamabad confirmed that the cancellation covers routine visa interviews and American Citizen Services, which include passport renewals, notarial services, and assistance to U.S. nationals.
The suspension also extends to the Consulate-General of the United States, Karachi and the Consulate-General of the United States, Lahore.
Affected applicants have been advised to wait for further instructions and a new appointment date. The embassy indicated that rescheduling details will be communicated at a later time.
No specific reason for the cancellation was provided in the brief notice. Applicants are encouraged to monitor official communication channels for updates regarding the resumption of services.
