Punjab: Orders Issued to Vacate Schools Operating in Dangerous Buildings

Lahore: The Punjab School Education Department has ordered the evacuation of all schools operating in dangerous buildings across the province.

In this regard, the School Education Department Punjab has issued a notification to all district authorities directing them to seal all dangerous and partially dangerous school buildings.

According to the notification, under no circumstances will students be allowed to enter dangerous buildings. No student will be permitted to sit or study in such structures.

The department has also directed that signboards be displayed on dangerous and partially dangerous government school buildings. It further stated that in case of any untoward incident, the District Education Authority and the head teacher will be held responsible.
