The price of gold in Pakistan increased by Rs5,700 per tola, according to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association.

Following the latest increase, the price of one tola of gold has reached Rs482,936. The sharp rise comes amid a continued upward trend in domestic gold prices, with the price increasing by more than Rs10,000 per tola over the past two days.

According to the association, the price of one tola of gold had already increased by Rs5,200 a day earlier. The latest Rs5,700 increase has therefore pushed the cumulative rise over the two-day period above Rs10,000.

The price of 10 grams of gold has also increased. According to the association, the price of 10 grams rose by Rs4,972, bringing it to Rs414,039.

The latest increase represents a significant rise for consumers and investors who track gold prices as a store of value. Gold is widely purchased in Pakistan for jewellery, savings and investment purposes, meaning fluctuations in its price can have a direct impact on buyers and sellers.

The domestic price of gold is influenced by several factors, including movements in international gold prices and changes in the local currency’s value. Global market conditions, investor demand and economic uncertainty can also affect the precious metal’s value.

The rapid increase recorded over the past two days is therefore likely to attract attention from both jewellery traders and consumers. People planning to purchase gold jewellery may face higher costs as retailers adjust their prices in response to changes in the market.

For investors, rising gold prices can increase the value of existing holdings, although price movements can also be volatile and may reverse depending on developments in international and domestic markets.

The All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Association regularly announces gold prices in the local market, providing an important reference for jewellery businesses and consumers.

With the latest increase, the price of one tola of gold has moved close to the Rs483,000 mark. The 10-gram price has also crossed Rs414,000, reflecting the scale of the recent rise.

The sharp increase highlights the continued sensitivity of Pakistan’s gold market to broader economic and financial conditions. Any significant movement in international bullion prices or the exchange rate could lead to further changes in domestic gold prices.

For now, according to the latest figures provided by the jewellers’ association, gold has become Rs5,700 more expensive per tola in a single day, while the cumulative increase over the past two days has exceeded Rs10,000.
