Nawaz reviews PML-N’s reserved seats for women in AJK Assembly

Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif on Sunday chaired an important meeting in Murree to review the issue of reserved seats for women in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah Khan, Senator Anusha Rehman, PML-N AJK President Shah Ghulam Qadir and other party leaders attended the meeting.

The meeting discussed in detail the names of women candidates being considered for the reserved seats in the AJK Legislative Assembly.

Nawaz Sharif also conducted interviews with women candidates for the reserved seats and reviewed their profiles and performance.

During the meeting, the PML-N president appreciated the active role played by women leaders and party workers during the recent general elections in Azad Kashmir.

The participants also praised the participation of women in the electoral process, describing their active role as a positive development for strengthening democracy and political stability in the region.

The meeting also reviewed various matters concerning the party’s parliamentary representation in the AJK Assembly.

Following the meeting, women members and candidates took a group photograph with PML-N President Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
