Sukkur : A resident of New Pind, Sukkur, Arif Ali Mughal, staged a protest outside the Sukkur Press Club along with his young son, expressing deep concern over the disappearance of his wife, Kiran Mughal, and their 12-year-old daughter, Muskan. He appealed to the police to take immediate and effective measures to locate both missing persons and ensure their safe recovery.
During the protest, Arif Ali Mughal said that his wife Kiran Mughal and 12-year-old daughter Muskan suddenly went missing from their home last Wednesday evening. He said he searched for them at the homes of relatives, acquaintances, and other possible locations, but no information about their whereabouts has been received so far.
He said the matter was also reported to the New Pind Police, but despite the report, no information regarding his wife and daughter had yet been obtained. According to Arif Mughal, both of their mobile phones are switched off, which has further increased the family’s concern.
Arif Ali Mughal stated that his wife had been insisting for some time that she wanted a divorce. He said he had told her that he was willing to sit down with her parents and senior family members to resolve the matter according to Islamic principles and that he did not want to force her to remain in the marriage.
He further stated that if there was a legitimate religious reason for separation, he was also prepared to grant her a divorce.
Arif Mughal said that he works at Ziauddin Hospital in Sukkur and has been meeting his family’s expenses according to his financial means. He expressed concern that the sudden disappearance of his wife and daughter had caused severe mental distress and anxiety for the entire family.
He appealed to senior officials of Sukkur Police and other relevant authorities to take immediate notice of the matter and use all available resources to trace Kiran Mughal and 12-year-old Muskan and ensure their safe recovery and return to their family.
The distressed father said he was ready to fully cooperate with the police and law-enforcement agencies and expressed hope that the authorities would take prompt action to locate the missing mother and daughter.
