Sukkur : President of the Green Merchants Association Sukkur (Registered), Zubair Qureshi, congratulated the entire nation on the occasion of Pakistan’s 79th Independence Day, saying that Pakistan is the result of the unforgettable sacrifices, struggle, and dedication of the nation’s elders, while millions of Muslims sacrificed their lives for the freedom of the country.
In his statement, Zubair Qureshi said that August 14 provides an opportunity to remember the sacrifices of national heroes and martyrs and to renew the pledge that everyone will play their full role in promoting Pakistan’s development, prosperity, stability, and security.
He said Pakistan’s progress depends on unity, mutual understanding, hard work, honesty, and the supremacy of law. He emphasized that the business community has a vital role in the country’s economic development.
According to Zubair Qureshi, the business community has consistently contributed to strengthening the national economy, creating employment opportunities, and promoting commercial activities. He said economic challenges can be addressed through improved coordination, consultation, and cooperation between the government and the business community.
He stressed that, under the prevailing circumstances, there is a need to rise above personal and group interests and give priority to the national interest.
He said the youth are the future of Pakistan and providing them with opportunities for education, skills development, and positive activities is a collective responsibility.
Zubair Qureshi further said that practical measures should be taken across Sindh and the country to improve law and order, create a business-friendly environment, provide basic facilities, and resolve public problems. Such measures, he said, would help make Pakistan economically stronger and enable it to move forward as a respected nation in the international community.
The Green Merchants Association Sukkur leader said that Independence Day is not merely a day for celebration; it also reminds citizens of their national duties and responsibilities.
He called upon the nation to renew its commitment to playing its role with honesty, sincerity, and dedication for the development, prosperity, peace, and stability of Pakistan.
