VIRGINIA: US Congressman Suhas Subramanyam has said that, compared with the past, the Pakistani-American community is now taking a more active role in the political process of the United States.
He made the remarks while addressing an event organized in Virginia by South Asian Business Council Chairman Mansoor Qureshi and entrepreneur Fazal Sarhandi.
Hundreds of Pakistani-American professionals from various fields attended the gathering, which provided an opportunity for members of the community to interact with an elected representative and discuss issues of mutual interest.
