ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Adviser Rana Sanaullah has said that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is not an independent figure but a senator of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and the party’s interior minister.
Speaking on Geo News’ programme Jirga, Rana Sanaullah said Naqvi’s views regarding the country’s political system were not expressed at anyone else’s direction, but reflected his personal thinking.
He said that no one from any other side had approached the government on the matter, nor was there any such request or desire from another party.
Rana Sanaullah reiterated that Mohsin Naqvi was not politically independent, describing him as a PML-N senator and the party’s interior minister.
He further said that political leaders understand where the “red lines” are and how they are crossed, adding that they did not need anyone’s “missed call” to understand political developments.
