Sukkur Police have arrested 13 suspects, including 10 women, during a raid on premises allegedly being used for prostitution and other immoral activities.

The operation was carried out on the directives of SSP Sukkur Azhar Khan, as part of an ongoing crackdown against individuals allegedly involved in activities described by police as social evils.

According to the police, the SHO of A Section Police Station, accompanied by female police personnel, conducted a raid within the station’s jurisdiction after receiving confidential information about the alleged activities.

During the raid, police arrested three men and ten women who were allegedly present at the premises.

Police identified the arrested individuals as:

  2. Irshad Bibi Sheikh
  3. Nawab Bibi Kookhar
  4. Sonia Arain
  5. Shumaila Sheikh
  6. Chanda
  7. Saba Arain
  8. Khadija Mirasi
  9. Sania Mirani
  10. Salma Pathan
  11. Altaf Hussain Shar
  12. Soomar Khan Jamali
  13. Muhammad Bakhsh Kookhar

According to Sukkur Police, cases have been registered against all 13 suspects at A Section Police Station under the relevant legal provisions relating to obscenity and prostitution.

Police said further legal proceedings would be carried out in accordance with the law.

Crackdown Against Illegal Activities

Sukkur Police said that operations against prostitution, obscenity and other activities considered harmful to society would continue across the district.

Authorities stated that such operations are being conducted as part of a broader campaign aimed at preventing activities that police believe negatively affect the social environment.

SSP Sukkur Azhar Khan said that individuals involved in activities that contribute to the deterioration of the social environment would face strict action in accordance with the law.

He emphasized that the police would continue taking action against elements allegedly involved in illegal or immoral activities.

The latest raid is part of Sukkur Police’s ongoing efforts to identify and take action against alleged criminal and socially harmful activities within the district.

Police officials have urged citizens to cooperate with law-enforcement agencies by providing information about suspected illegal activities in their neighborhoods.

The authorities have reiterated that all suspects arrested in the raid will be dealt with according to the applicable law and that further investigation will determine the specific role of each individual.
