Naushahro Feroze (District Reporter): Residents of Sher Muhammad Abro village near Padidan, Muhammad Yaqoob Abro, Abdul Haq and Barkat Ali Abro, have alleged that they are facing threats, harassment and an armed attack over a dispute involving their agricultural land.
Speaking to the media, the complainants alleged that they own approximately 9 acres and 8 ghuntas of agricultural land in the Dibla Wah Gheer Gajo area. They claimed that their relatives, including police constable Qurban Abro, who they identified as the gunman of SSP Naushahro Feroze, along with Mumtaz Hakim, Ilyas, Shoaib and Zulfiqar Abro, have allegedly been pressuring them to hand over the land.
The family alleged that the water supply to their agricultural land had been stopped, causing difficulties for the family and affecting their children’s education. They further claimed that they had been threatened with serious consequences if they refused to give up the land.
According to the complainants, three days ago, Qurban Abro and his brothers allegedly entered their house at night while carrying weapons. They alleged that they were assaulted with the butt of a government-issued Kalashnikov and that their elderly mother was also beaten during the incident.
The family further claimed that they went to Bhiriya Road Police Station to report the alleged attack, but police officials allegedly threatened them and sent them out of the station. They said they were told that an FIR had already been registered against them.
The complainants have appealed to the SSP Naushahro Feroze and senior authorities to conduct a transparent and impartial investigation into the allegations.
They demanded legal action against anyone found responsible, protection for their family and a fair resolution of the land dispute. They also urged the authorities to investigate the alleged attack, threats and obstruction of their access to the police station and ensure that justice is provided according to law.
