SUKKUR (Danish Rajput): Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) MPA from Sukkur City, Syed Farrukh Ahmed Shah, inaugurated a main drainage system project covering the SITE Area and several villages in PS-24.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by several prominent figures, including former Chamber of Commerce President Bilal Waqar Khan, Chamber of Commerce President Khalid Khan Kakazai, Municipal Corporation Executive Engineer Nauman Kalhoro, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Khalid Jatoi, SITE Engineer Abdul Karim Mallano, Town Chairman Tariq Chauhan, Vice Chairman Zulfiqar Khoso, Yaqoob Khan, Amit Kumar, members and office-bearers of the Chamber of Commerce, Public Health Engineering officials, and other local dignitaries.
During the ceremony, SITE Engineer Abdul Karim Mallano gave MPA Syed Farrukh Ahmed Shah a detailed briefing about the main drainage system project. He explained the scope of the project, its implementation, and the expected impact on drainage conditions in the surrounding areas.
Syed Farrukh Ahmed Shah formally inaugurated the project alongside Bilal Waqar Khan, Khalid Khan Kakazai, and other important personalities.
The project is expected to address longstanding drainage and wastewater problems in the SITE Area and various villages located within PS-24.
Participants of the ceremony described the project as an important development for the area and welcomed the initiative aimed at improving the drainage system.
They said that an effective main drainage network would help reduce problems caused by stagnant wastewater and improve sanitary conditions for residents and businesses in the affected areas.
The presence of representatives from the Chamber of Commerce, Municipal Corporation, Public Health Engineering Department, and local administration highlighted the importance of coordination between different institutions in addressing civic problems.
