Security forces have carried out an operation in the Kambela and Asimabad areas of Balochistan, killing three militants associated with Fitna al-Hindustan, according to security sources.
The sources said that search and sanitization operations were conducted in the two areas, resulting in the clearance of an area covering approximately 68 square kilometers.
During the operation, three militants were killed, while the bodies of two of them were recovered. Security sources said that four other militants were injured during the operation.
According to the sources, Shaukat Mama, described as a leader of the group, was also among those injured in the operation.
Security forces also detained 12 suspected individuals during the operation. The authorities are expected to investigate the suspects to determine whether they had any links with militant activities.
The operation also targeted militant hideouts in the area. Security forces reportedly dismantled the hideouts and removed flags associated with Fitna al-Hindustan.
The operation was conducted as part of wider security efforts to clear areas of suspected militant activity and prevent attacks in Balochistan.
Security forces continue to conduct search and sanitization operations in different parts of the province to identify militant networks, secure affected areas, and restore normalcy.
