Kandiaro: Professor Akbar Ali Sargani of Government Degree College Kandiaro held an emergency press conference at Kandiaro Press Club and alleged that his family had been facing false, baseless, and retaliatory FIRs and legal actions for nearly 15 months.
He stated that the matter began after the killing of his maternal uncle, Shaukat Ali Sargani, who he alleged was brutally murdered by around 25 armed men, while eight other innocent people were seriously injured. He said a case regarding the incident had already been registered.
Professor Sargani said that a reconciliation decision was later made under the supervision of the Syeds of Darbeli. However, he alleged that the decision was prepared without consultation with their representatives and advisers, due to which his family refused to accept it.
He claimed that despite the government valuing the blood compensation at more than Rs19.3 million, only Rs300,000 was fixed in the reconciliation decision. He also alleged that the distribution of four acres of agricultural land was carried out incorrectly.
He further stated that instead of resolving the dispute, the decision could create further hostility, disagreements, and conflict in the future, which was why his family rejected it.
Professor Sargani alleged that on the very night they refused to accept the decision, another false and fabricated case was registered against them. He demanded justice and urged the authorities to take notice of what he described as ongoing legal harassment against his family.
