Naushahro Feroze: Like other parts of the country, Kashmir Exploitation Day was observed in Naushahro Feroze district with great respect and commitment by the district administration.
A solidarity rally was held under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Naushahro Feroze Muhammad Arsalan Saleem, starting from the Deputy Commissioner’s Office and concluding at Allah Wali Chowk. A large number of district administration officers, representatives of government departments, students, civil society members, and citizens participated in the rally.
The participants carried Pakistani and Azad Kashmir flags and expressed complete solidarity with the people of Kashmir. They also raised slogans in support of their rights. On the occasion, the unilateral decision taken on August 5, 2019, regarding the constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir was strongly condemned, while support for the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people was reaffirmed.
According to the directives of the Sindh government, a one-minute silence was observed at 9:00 am to pay tribute to Kashmiri martyrs and honor their sacrifices.
Addressing the participants at the conclusion of the rally, Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Arsalan Saleem said that Kashmir Exploitation Day is a day to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people, pay tribute to their sacrifices, and renew the commitment to support their legitimate right to self-determination.
He said that the people of Pakistan and Sindh stand with their Kashmiri brothers and sisters in every difficult time. He added that a lasting and just solution to the Kashmir issue can only be achieved in accordance with the relevant United Nations resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
The Deputy Commissioner urged the international community to take notice of the human rights situation in Indian-administered Kashmir and play an effective role in ensuring the basic rights of the Kashmiri people.
A separate ceremony was also organized at the Deputy Commissioner’s Committee Hall, where students presented speeches and tableaus expressing solidarity with the Kashmiri people and highlighting their legal and moral struggle.
