Muzaffarabad: Unofficial and incomplete results from two constituencies of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Legislative Assembly — LA-27 Muzaffarabad-I and LA-28 Muzaffarabad-II — have been announced, with the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) winning one seat and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) securing the other.
According to unofficial results from LA-27 Muzaffarabad-I, PML-N candidate Noreen Arif emerged victorious after securing 18,919 votes. She was followed closely by Sardar Tabarak Ali of the Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party (IPP), who received 18,621 votes and finished in second place.
In LA-28 Muzaffarabad-II, PPP candidate Bazal Ali Naqvi won the seat by obtaining 28,170 votes. PML-N candidate Chaudhry Shehzad secured 26,864 votes and remained the runner-up.
Voting for the second phase of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections was held on Sunday, covering eight constituencies of the Muzaffarabad Division along with twelve seats reserved for refugees.
