President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif have extended heartfelt New Year greetings to the entire nation, expressing hope, resolve, and prayers for the country’s progress, prosperity, and stability as the new year begins. In their separate messages, both leaders emphasized unity, national responsibility, and collective determination as key elements for overcoming the challenges facing Pakistan.

In his New Year message, President Asif Ali Zardari acknowledged that Pakistan continues to face multiple challenges on economic, social, and security fronts. However, he stressed that the nation is neither helpless nor without options. According to the president, Pakistan has repeatedly demonstrated resilience in difficult times, and with unity and steadfastness, the country can once again move forward with confidence.

“Pakistan is not immune to challenges, but we are not powerless either,” President Zardari said in his message. He highlighted that through unity, perseverance, creativity, and belief in national potential, the country can successfully confront and overcome all obstacles. The president underlined that moments of difficulty should be treated as opportunities for reform, innovation, and renewed commitment to national ideals.

President Zardari further called on the nation to renew its sense of responsibility at the start of the new year. He said that as citizens and as guardians of the state, Pakistanis must collectively recommit themselves to fulfilling their duties toward the country. He emphasized that only through shared responsibility and sincere efforts can Pakistan effectively address the complex challenges it faces, including economic recovery, social justice, and institutional strengthening.

The president also expressed hope that the new year would bring renewed energy and optimism to the nation. He urged all segments of society—political leaders, institutions, youth, and civil society—to work together for national unity, democratic stability, and sustainable development. According to him, cooperation and mutual understanding are essential for steering the country toward a brighter and more secure future.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in his New Year message, also extended warm congratulations to the people of Pakistan and offered prayers that the new year would bring happiness, development, and lasting stability to the country. He said that the beginning of a new year provides an important opportunity for reflection, renewal, and collective resolve to move forward with a shared vision.

“May the new year bring prosperity, progress, and stability for Pakistan,” the prime minister said. He added that the government remains committed to addressing the economic challenges facing the country and to implementing reforms aimed at improving governance, strengthening the economy, and providing relief to the common citizen.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted that the year 2025 holds special significance for Pakistan, particularly from the perspective of national defense. He stated that 2025 would be remembered in history as a year of pride and strength for the defense of the homeland. The prime minister praised the professionalism, sacrifices, and courage of Pakistan’s armed forces, noting that they continue to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity under all circumstances.

He further said that the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the brave armed forces of Pakistan. According to the prime minister, the unity between the people and the military serves as a strong, unbreakable wall in the defense of the country. He emphasized that this national solidarity sends a clear message that Pakistan is fully capable of defending itself and protecting its national interests.

The prime minister also reiterated his confidence in the resilience of the Pakistani nation. He said that despite economic pressures, regional challenges, and global uncertainties, Pakistan has the strength and potential to move forward. He called upon citizens to remain hopeful, patient, and united, and to contribute positively to national development through hard work and discipline.

Both leaders concluded their messages by praying for peace, prosperity, and stability in the country. They expressed hope that the new year would mark a turning point for Pakistan, bringing economic recovery, improved living standards, and stronger institutions. The New Year messages from the president and the prime minister reflect a shared emphasis on unity, responsibility, and optimism, reinforcing the belief that with collective effort and determination, Pakistan can overcome its challenges and achieve sustainable progress.
