A 20-year-old woman in China has miraculously survived after jumping from the 18th floor of an apartment building following a dispute with her boyfriend.

The incident occurred in Jiaxing city of China, where the woman, identified as Xiaoyi, reportedly took the extreme step after a serious argument with her boyfriend. According to reports, she jumped from the apartment building in an emotional state without thinking about the consequences.

Despite falling from such a great height, Xiaoyi survived after hitting a tree during her fall and then landing in bushes on the ground. The tree and bushes helped reduce the impact and played a crucial role in saving her life.

The incident took place on July 12. After the fall, Xiaoyi’s boyfriend immediately rushed her to a hospital and provided 20,000 yuan for her medical treatment.

Doctors examining the woman found that she had suffered severe injuries to her head, lungs, liver and other parts of her body. Both of her legs were also fractured due to the impact of the fall.

Medical teams have already performed two surgeries on Xiaoyi, while preparations are underway for another operation as doctors continue efforts to improve her condition.

After regaining consciousness, Xiaoyi explained the reason behind her decision. She said that she and her boyfriend had been involved in repeated arguments before the incident and she was considering ending their relationship.

According to Xiaoyi, during the argument her boyfriend took away her mobile phone and identity card and locked the door of the apartment. She said this situation made her feel trapped and emotionally overwhelmed.

One of Xiaoyi’s uncles told local media that his niece had become mentally disturbed after arguing with her boyfriend throughout the night. He said that she felt there was no other option to leave the situation, which led her to take the dangerous step.

The uncle added that Xiaoyi now regrets her decision and understands the seriousness of what happened. Her family members said they are focusing on her recovery and hoping that she returns to normal life soon.

However, the family is facing serious financial difficulties because of the expensive medical treatment. Reports indicate that the hospital bill has already exceeded 100,000 yuan, while the family still needs to arrange around 60,000 yuan to pay the remaining expenses.
