Reports said that Faten, who had previously represented Moghreb Athletic Tétouan, was traveling through a dangerous sea route to reach Ceuta when an accident occurred during the journey, resulting in her death.

Her sudden passing has left the football community in Morocco, especially in Tangier, deeply saddened. Former teammates, friends, and members of the Moroccan football community expressed grief and remembered her as a hardworking, talented, and kind-hearted person.

In recent days, attempts by people from northern Morocco to migrate illegally toward Ceuta have increased. Many people have lost their lives due to difficult sea conditions and other dangers along these routes.

Faten Al-Azizi’s death has once again highlighted the risks faced by migrants attempting dangerous journeys in search of a better future.
