Umerkot: Residents of Meghwar Colony near Paper Mori in Samaro Taluka staged a protest against the alleged establishment of a liquor outlet in their residential area.
A large number of protesters gathered carrying placards and chanted slogans, demanding the immediate closure of the alleged liquor outlet. They urged the authorities to take swift action, saying such an establishment has no place in a populated neighborhood.
The protesters claimed that the alleged sale of liquor was disturbing the area’s social environment, negatively affecting the younger generation, and creating various social problems for local residents.
They called on the relevant authorities to take immediate notice of the situation, shut down the alleged liquor outlet, and initiate legal action against those responsible if any violations of the law are found.
The demonstrators warned that if no action is taken, they will expand their protest in the coming days.
