Karachi Police Chief Meets Industrialists to Discuss Security and Traffic Issues

Karachi, August 3, 2026: Additional Inspector General (AIG) Karachi Azad Khan visited the FB Area Trade and Industries Association (FBATI) along with DIG West, SSP Central, and the SP Traffic, where he held a meeting with industrialists and office-bearers of the association.

The meeting was attended by FBATI President Sheikh Muhammad Tahseen, Senior Vice President Abdullah Abid, Vice President Muzammil Shoaib, Chairman of the Law and Order Subcommittee Idrees Gigi, and CEO Babar Khan.

During the session, participants discussed key issues including street crime prevention, the effective use of CCTV cameras to reduce crime, traffic flow, illegal parking, encroachments, and other security concerns affecting Karachi’s industrial areas.

Addressing the gathering, AIG Karachi Azad Khan said that Karachi Police is taking comprehensive measures to maintain law and order in industrial and commercial zones, effectively combat crime, and improve the city’s traffic management system. He assured the business community that every possible effort would be made to resolve their concerns, provide a secure business environment, and further strengthen coordination between the police and industrialists.

The FBATI office-bearers appreciated the leadership of the Additional IGP Karachi and commended the performance of the DIG West and his team. They praised the police’s efforts against crime and acknowledged their effective engagement with the business community.

Later, the Karachi Police chief visited the Crime Monitoring Room, where he was briefed on its operational system and ongoing monitoring mechanisms.

At the conclusion of the visit, FBATI representatives presented an honorary shield and a bouquet to AIG Karachi Azad Khan in recognition of his services and leadership.
